Rajouri on alert as dozens of students test positive to covid-19

After the recent decisions of the government to ease life and to allow educational institutions to take a call on the issue of taking offline classes, 32 students in Thanamandi Rajouri have tested positive to covid-19 bringing the administration on alert in the entire district.
Reports said that after the students tested positive, the health officials in the area have started vigorous testing of the adjacent educational institutions and also in the nearby population to go for curbs to stop the spread of infection further.
Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the school was opened for the first day today after which a team of the health department visited the institution and conducted target sampling of the students.
Chief medical officer Rajouri, Dr Shamim told KNO that during sampling at least 32 students were found Covid-19 positive and they have been isolated.
She said that all the necessary measures as per standard operating procedures for containing the virus are being taken.
