Many migrant families of Gujjars and Bakerwals are back along with their cattle, horses and dogs on the streets of Srinagar coming back from the meadows to return to Jammu.
There have been these cattle and horses moving in the busy streets of Srinagar like in the Polo View market and the vehicles stopping to give them the way to move ahead to their next sojourn.
These Gujjars and Bakerwals families come with their cattle annually during the spring season and move towards the meadows and highlands of Kashmir valley so that their cattle can graze.
In the autumn season they move out of these meadows and come down to Srinagar city to proceed ahead through different routes back to Jammu region including to Poonch and Rojouri.
