DC Sgr holds interaction with Market Committees for CAB implementation
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 21: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Tuesday held an interaction with prominent stakeholders including Traders, Transporters, Tourism players, Medical Diagnostic Lab Associations regarding the implementation of Covid Appropriate Behaviour in view of rising trend in Covid-19 Positive cases in Srinagar.
Among others, Senior Superintendent of Police, Sandeep Chowdhary, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr Syed Hanief Balkhi, Sub Divisional Magistrate East, Owais Mushtaq, Tehsildar South Srinagar, Moeen Ahmad Kakroo were present in the meeting.
At the outset, the DC appreciated all the Traders and Transporters for their role and cooperation since the last one and half year of pandemic in containment and management of the virus, which helped to a large extent to save people from the deadly pandemic. He urged them to extend their full cooperation in view of a surge in positive cases.
He said adherence to Covid SOPS/Protocol is paramount for sustainable livelihood
The DC said the Traders acts as a face of Srinagar City and have pivotal role in containment of Covid-19 by motivating and sensitising their staff, Customers, fellow Traders, Transporters, people associated with Tourism sector, Health Clinics and Medical Diagnostic Centres regarding CAB so that they themselves, their family and other fellow citizen are protected from infection of Covid-19.
He emphasized to them that it is the social obligation of one and all to educate people and help in the implementation of CAB as per the guidelines issued by the Government from time to time. He underscored that it is highly imperative that CAB is implemented in letter and spirit in all Business Establishments, Shopping Malls, Parks, Health institutions, Religious Places, Social gatherings and Government /Private Offices where people assemble for different purposes.
He stressed on them to ensure wearing of masks and maintenance of physical distance at all workplaces to curb and control the spread of Covid-19 in Srinagar.
On the occasion, the participants put forth their suggestions before the DC regarding the observance of Covid guidelines and assured that they will continue to lend support to Administration in containment of viral infection.
SSP Srinagar, Sandeep Chowdhary also spoke on the occasion and appealed to all the stakeholders for extending their cooperation to Police and Civil Administration in fighting the Covid-19 by strictly adhering to Covid-19 SOPs as they cooperated during first and second wave of the pandemic.
