DC Srinagar reviews disposal of Grievances lodged by Migrants

Directs Revenue officers to ensure quality redressal of the complaints

SRINAGAR SEPTEMBER 17:- Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today reviewed the functioning of Online mechanism for redressal of Kashmiri Migrants’ Immovable Properties/ Community Assets related Grievances in a meeting at DC Hall complex here.

Additional Commissioner Srinagar, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Additional Commissioner, Dr Syed Hanief Balkhi, SDM East, Owais Mushtaq, SDM WEST, Akshay Labroo, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Raies Ahmad, all Tehsildars and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner, asked the officers to take appropriate measures to ensure time bound disposal of grievances registered on a portal launched recently by the Government.  He also constituted a dedicated redressal cell and instructed all Tehsildars to pay special thrust on the complaints registered on the portal to ensure daily based quality redressal of the complaints to the best satisfaction of the complainants.

The DC asked Sub Divisional Magistrates to monitor the functioning of online grievance redressal portal to keep track of the proper and timely disposal of registered grievances.

The DC said the online grievance redressal portal will prove helpful to receive complaints for correction of records/ demarcation and removal of encroachments/trespassing/alienation by way of fraud or distress sale, etc.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress on the implementation of the Survey of villages and mapping with improvised technology in village areas (SVAMITVA) Scheme, E-Rent implementation and writing of Jamabandies.
