DDC Shopian Reviews Progress under B2V Programme

SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 11:-The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today Chaired a meeting of line departments to review the progress on works approved under the Back to Village (B2V) program in the district.

The meeting was informed that under B2V programmes various works were taken up for execution are at the stage of completion and expectedly to be completed within the shortest possible time.

The DDC sought a detailed department-wise status of work estimation and tendering process of all works approved under B2V programme.

At the outset, threadbare discussion was held on the tendering process, feasibility of works, estimate cost and other issues, hampering the work progress.

Keeping in view the importance of works, the DDC directed the concerned that tendering process of pending works should be completed at the earliest and disputes should also be settled so that all works are tendered in time.

The DDC reiterated that the district administration is committed to provide all basic facilities to the people at their doorsteps especially living in far-flung areas and exhorted upon all the line departments that all such works shall be taken in mission mode so that targets are achieved well in time.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana, Assistant Commissioner Development, Tehsildar Shopian, DYSSO, CEO, CMO, DPO, BDOs, Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti, KPDCL and R&B besides other concerned officials.
