RURAL TOURIST CIRCUIT
Rural tourist circuit would be a possibility now as the JK government has recently decided to develop 75 villages at the initial stage to be developed as tourist villages and it will prove to be a huge push for the economic development of these villages.
Recently LG Manoj Sinha said J&K’s Youth will be the brand ambassador for green tourism making development more sustainable while bringing prosperity to the community.
Special incentives, subsidies offered to encourage Film shooting; creating tourism facilities is another mega push by the JK administration to create more opportunities for the direct and indirect employment of youth.
Villages’ landscapes, indigenous knowledge systems, cultural diversity & heritage, local values & traditions to be promoted under the initiative of making rural tourist circuits a reality.
Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha recently launched J&K Tourist Village Network under Mission Youth. The initiative is aimed at transforming 75 villages of the UT known for historical, picturesque beauty, and cultural significance into tourist villages.
He said that the youth-led sustainable tourism initiative will strengthen rural economy & community entrepreneurship, empowering youth & women by providing direct & indirect employment opportunities.
