Div Com spends time with patients at Govt Hospital Gandhinagar, exchanges I-Day greetings
JAMMU, AUGUST 15: As the whole Nation is celebrating 75th Independence Day, the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer today spent time with the patients here at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
The Div Com went around different wards of the hospital and interacted with the patients and inquired about their well being. He presented them fruits and exchanged I-day greetings. He also inquired about the facilities being provided to the patients and the health status of each patient.
Meanwhile, the Div Com inspected the ongoing finishing works being executed in 200 bedded Maternity and Child Health (Hospital).
Pertinently, the Hospital was designated as COVID Hospital specifically for Gynae, Paediatrics and Post Operative patients and all Gynae and other surgeries of the COVID patients are done in MCH Hospital.
Keeping in view the possible 3rd wave, the Div Com directed the executing agencies to complete all the pending works within the stipulated timeframe.
He said that as per the directions of office of the Lieutenant Governor all health sector works need to be expedited for strengthening the health care infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Div Com took a round of each floor, Block of the building and inquired about the progress. The concerned engineers apprised the Div Com about the present status of work and future work plan.
The Div Com expressed his dismay over the slow pace of work on some components and asked the executing agency to expedite the pace by working in double shifts to complete the project within the set timelines so that the mega health care facility is utilized fully and dedicated to the public.
During the visit, the Div Com was accompanied by Deputy Director Health Services, Medical Superintendent MCH, Doctors besides engineers of PWD, MED and other concerned.
