Developmental works
In order to focus on the developmental works across Jammu and Kashmir, the J & K administration is reviewing the pace of the development in every district.
Recently the Advisor to the Governor visited Budgam district and reviewed the functioning of Yousmarg, Doodhpathri, Tosamaidan Development Authorities.
These tourism development authorities should get more attention from the government and also the required funds so that these picnic spots come on the tourism map and the locals can generate some money and employment opportunities in future.
Advisor instructed the officers to frame need based development plans for renovation and up gradation of facilities in their respective areas to give further boost to the tourism sector. He said that these areas are important tourist destinations which should have robust telecom and internet connectivity. He asked the officers to identify the facilities already available in these areas that could be outsourced and come up with a plan in this regard.
The government should also give timelines to the officers to come up with the plans so that these tourist destinations get the required facilities for the tourists on time so that the locals around these tourism facilities can generate employment.
In this recent review meeting the officials gave a detailed overview through Power Point presentation about the functioning and issues pertaining to these tourist destinations.
