Vaccination, adherence to COVID-19 SOPs best solution to curb pandemic: DC B’gam

BUDGAM, AUGUST 05: In his routine press briefing on Covid-19 containment measures, present status and onward course of preparedness, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza  today said that presently  there are 74 positive active cases in the district with recovery rate above 99 percent. Similarly, the positivity rate stands below 0.3 percent.

The DC informed that the vaccination is going on smoothly; simultaneously mass sampling is being also carried out to trace any new infection.

He further said, there is uneven spike in cases with some new positive cases being reported from some areas while other areas remaining under control.

The DC once again appealed that threat and risk associated with Covid-19 is not over yet, accordingly there is urgent need of 100 percent vaccination of general masses and strict adherence to all mandated COVID-19 SOPs to curb its spread.
