Police register case against army in a road accident case

Police acted after the people complained against the army for allegedly killing an elderly woman with their fast moving vehicle at Nadihal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

On Wednesday police have registered a case and have also seized the army vehicle in order to go further with the investigations.

According to the news agency KNO quoting a police statement on this issue that an accident took place at Nadihal, in which an elderly woman was hit by an Army vehicle, and she died on spot.

The statement reads that the body of the woman was shifted to hospital for completion of medico legal formalities.

“In this regard a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and the vehicle has also been seized. Further investigation of the case was going on,” it reads.
