Goernment orders probe into all ‘illegal’ appointments made in municipal bodies of Kashmir
Jammu Kashmir Government has ordered a high-level probe into all ‘illegal’ appointments and regularizations made in the municipal bodies of Kashmir Valley from past over 20 years.
The government has issued an order which reads that a committee of officers headed by Director Urban Local Bodies Kashmir, Mathoora Masoom has been constituted to inquire into all illegal appointments made in the municipal councils and committees of Kashmir Valley since 2001.
As per the order, the committee also comprising Showkat Ahmad Mir, special secretary(legal), Housing & Urban Development department and Alyas Ahmad, Secretary, Lakes & Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) would hold a detailed enquiry into the illegal appointments/ regularizations made in the Urban Local Bodies Kashmir from 2001 till date.
