Delimitation Commission in Kishtwar to meet delegations

After completing their visit in Kashmir valley, the members of the delimitation commission have reached Kishtwar district to meet the officials and different delegations.

In Kashmir National Conference, Congress and Peoples Conference met them and talked about the delimitation to be fair and transparent. During their stay in Kashmir they met many officials apart from political delegations.

Reports from Kishtwar said that during their day-long stay, the Commission members comprising Justice (Retd) Ranjana Prakash Desai, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sushil Chandra, and Deputy Election Commissioner Chandra Bhushan, will meet leaders of various political parties and the District Electoral Officers (DEOs).

Reports said that many delegations including the BAR association and NGO’s are likely to meet them at Kishtwar.

The four-day visit of the Delimitation Commission on J&K started on July 6 and will conclude on July 9.

On July 9, the Commission will meet with DEOs of Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi, Rajouri and Poonch between 0930 hours to 1030 hours at Radisson Blu, Jammu.
