Good news in Jammu and Kashmir is that there is a dip in covid positive cases and the economic activities have started picking pace with the government easing the restrictions in 14 districts declaring them as green zones after the ground reports about the receding cases.

Recently Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha chaired a series of meetings with the members of the Covid Task Force, Deputy Commissioners, and SPs on Covid containment measures through virtual mode.

Keeping a close watch on the Covid situation in J&K, the Lt Governor is regularly chairing meetings with the concerned officials taking regular assessment of the present Covid scenario here and the measures taken thereof to minimize the risk to the human lives.

JK government has been taking effective and transformative actions to minimize Covid-19 impacts and enhance pandemic resilience so that people are prepared to face the infection in any form in the future.

While enquiring about the present status of positivity rate, testing, and vaccination across the UT, the Lt Governor noted that the number of cases has come down, while vaccination and testing have also registered a substantial increase, while instructing his deputy commissioners to do more so that life is normalized in entire Jammu and Kashmir.

Despite dip in the covid positive cases now the onus lies on the common people when they resume their lives and come on the streets. They will have to adhere to the covid appropriate behavior if they want that normal life should resume completely in Jammu and Kashmir.
