In order to minimize covid-19 impacts in Jammu and Kashmir government of JK has taken slew of measures so that the common people are saved from this infection.

In this direction recently LG Manoj Sinha chaired a series of meetings with Covid Task Force, DCs, SPs of Jammu and Kashmir and asked them to keep themselves ready to help the people during such pandemic.

During these meetings the officers informed Manoj Sinha that the district of Budgam, Bandipora achieved 100 % vaccination of 45 & above age-group with 1st Dose, tally goes up to Six Districts now in Jammu and Kashmir who have done the 100% vaccination for this age group.

LG asked the officers to take effective, transformative actions to minimize Covid-19 impacts & enhance pandemic resilience among the people.

He stressed on his administration to make it possible on the ground that common people adhere to Covid protocol, increased vaccination & testing will help to bring the covid positive cases down.

If there is a dip in the pandemic it will help the government to lift the restrictions completely so that people can live a normal life and do their economic activities without any hindrance.

Such an environment is possible only if the people of JK understand their responsibility to adhere to the covid protocol and not violate any code to keep the infection away. If the people start violating the code of conduct to live with the infection it can lead to further spread and will force the government to go for covid restrictions and it will again result in economic depression.
