Ganderbal
The main attraction of Ganderbal town has been a trout stream which was passing through the main town and used to be a great soother for the eyes.
Due to the neglect of authorities and especially by the fisheries department this trout stream has been reduced to a drain by the callous attitude of the people as well.
Both banks of this stream have been vandalized by the people and human greed has reduced this clean and crystal water stream which used to have wild trout in it, to a drain with filth.
The residents of Ganderbal town have appealed to district authorities, especially the fisheries department, to restore the original glory of this trout stream in the town and for that purpose different wings of the government will have to work together.
Firstly it will need a demolition drive to clear both banks of this trout stream and it should be followed by a cleaning process so that it gets back its glory and the people can enjoy on its banks during the summers by watching trout fish within this stream.
