In order to take the review of PMDP projects in Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha recently held a high level meeting and passed directions to Administrative Secretaries and functionaries of the executing agencies for bringing in reforms by adopting an action-oriented approach for the timely completion of the projects.

In the meeting he took project-wise thorough assessment, the Lt Governor sought the present status of the projects from the concerned Administrative Secretaries, Chief Engineers and other senior officers of the executing agencies, who in turn briefed the chair about the progress achieved till date and the future course of action.

He told his officers that there is a need to speed up the projects for the overall development of UT of Jammu and Kashmir. There is no constraint of funds & resources and the government is committed to bridge the gap between rural and urban J&K, he told his officers in the meeting.

He stressed the completion of projects on Mission Mode, especially those which are under execution for a long time while maintaining the quality of work.

He asked his officers to adhere to the timelines committed during the review meetings and not miss them at any cost. While giving different directions he asked the engineers to accelerate the pace of work, reduce unnecessarily extended timelines and mobilize resources to ensure that the public does not face inconvenience due to delays.
