Talks and dialogue is a way forward to move on and get some solutions on the table. In this direction Prime Minister in a mega outreach brought the entire leadership of Jammu and Kashmir from the mainstream to the table and the talks ended on a positive note.

Political process will start in Jammu and Kashmir as the Prime Minister himself has said that he is very keen to see an elected government in Jammu and Kashmir.

He told the participants that it would be the endeavor of the central government to make the conditions suitable for the holding of dialogue and for holding of elections.

In order to start the process the government has already extended the term of delimitation commission by one year and the commission has recently talked to all Deputy Commissioners in Jammu and Kashmir to get the feedback about the population and topography of each district.

Almost all the participants in the meeting have told the Prime Minister that the first statehood should be restored then the elections should be held in Jammu and Kashmir.

The central government is waiting for the delimitation commission to complete its exercise for the re-organization of assembly and parliamentary segments in Jammu and Kashmir before they go for any further steps.

Dialogue has started between Srinagar and New Delhi and all the participants have said that it is a good beginning for the people of Jammu and Kashmir post abrogation of article 370.
