Boni Bagh Kangan resident demand compensation from authorities

Residents of Boni Bagh Kangan and adjacent villages said that the district administration of Ganderbal has failed to compensate them so far as a road is being laid from  Boni Bagh Kangan to Bhat Mohalla and during the construction of the road they have lost land, three residential houses and 110 fruit giving trees which include 75 walnuts trees.

Residents told Voice of Valley that they were promised proper compensation by the authorities when they started the work on the road under the Prime Minister’s road scheme but so far they have not made any case for the compensation.

The villagers said that recently the contractor has again started the work on this road while the authorities have not processed their compensation cases.

Appealing the district authorities and LG Manoj Sinha to look into their grievances and send some officers on the spot so that the villagers are not forced to come on the streets for the demand of compensation.
