According to the India Today news report, Delhi police while investigating the Israeli embassy blast that took place on 29 January have detained a few students from Kargil to carry on their investigation further.

Various news reports from New Delhi including News 18 have quoted some officials of a special cell of New Delhi claiming that the four Kargil students who have been arrested were being interrogated.

News 18 in its report quoting a Delhi police official has said, they are in (the) Delhi Police custody”.

It is in place to mention that a low-intensity explosion was reported near the Israel embassy in New Delhi on 29 January this year, but no injuries were reported. In March, India’s central agencies found that the Iranian Quds force was behind the blast.

The National Investigation agency released CCTV footage of the incident last week wherein the two suspects had taken two rounds of the blast site that day. They also announced a cash reward of 10 lakh rupees for information about the two suspects that would lead to their identification and arrest.

However, now, the arrest of Kargil students in connection with this blast has given a new dimension not only to the investigation but also the entire case as the government wants to crack the case as soon as possible.
