In order to keep the health infrastructure ready in Jammu and Kashmir for the future pandemics and other such eventualities, the government of Jammu and Kashmir has taken a lot of steps to enhance the oxygen generation also besides getting more plants for this purpose to be installed here.

Already the government in collaboration with DRDO has made two new covid hospitals in Jammu and Srinagar in order to meet the growing demand for the hospitalization due to the spread of the infection at the village level.

These five hundred bedded hospitals established in Jammu and Srinagar have a proper oxygen supply system besides other facilities for the covid positive patients who need hospitalization.

In order to ease the pressure on the covid designated hospitals of the cities, government of Jammu and Kashmir has already established covid care centers at the panchayat levels so that the patients who need the care and isolation can get the treatment at the village level and only the patients with serious ailment are shifted to the city hospitals.

These five bedded covid care centers at the panchayat level has helped to curtail the rush to the main covid designated hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir and has also provided the timely treatment including the isolation to the covid positive patients.
