Mega road project
One of the prestigious road projects in the Jammu region is the four lining of Jammu-Akhnoor road and the government is very keen that the work on this project should be completed within the timeline so that there is no loss to the government exchequer.
In this direction recently Divisional Commissioner Jammu, visited many areas covering this road project and passed on strict instructions to the executing agencies to complete the work or would be slapped with fine.
He said that the government of Jammu and Kashmir will not tolerate any delay on such developmental projects and expressed his displeasure over the delay on this project especially on the important milestones.
The NHIDCL officials apprised the Div Com about the current status of work on the prestigious road project, besides progress achieved so far and the future work plan on the spot however he was not impressed and asked them to push in more men and machinery to complete it within the timeline.
The officials on the spot informed that out of total 133 piers for the flyover, foundation of 127 has been laid, Pier shaft 99, pier caps 80 have been completed while work is in progress on other segments.
Despite pandemic on the instruction of LG Manoj Sinha work is being monitored on all the important developmental projects and in some of the recent meetings instructions have been passed any delay on these projects would not be tolerated.
