Vaccination drive
In the past few days administration in Jammu and Kashmir has started focusing on the mass vaccination drive as the authorities have already started easing curfew and restrictions so that people can live normal lives and also save themselves from the infection.
Though the containment measures including the curfew were the last resort of JK administration to flatten the curve of the second wave of pandemic, the real remedy is in the vaccination process.
Recently the JK administration has started the vaccination process on a massive scale for the age groups already notified by the government. The vaccination process was very slow in the past because the bulk of vaccine stock was not available with the JK government.
Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha due to his own efforts was able to get the bulk of vaccines recently for Jammu and Kashmir and already the bureaucrats have kept ready a comprehensive mechanism to go for the vaccination in all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Recently the new chief secretary of Jammu and Kashmir reviewed the stock position of vaccines and directed the health department and other wings of the government to adhere to the timeline set by the government for the vaccination in the entire Jammu and Kashmir.
New Chief Secretary has directed achieving universal vaccination of 45 and above age category by the end of June in the entire Jammu and Kashmir.
