In order to provide quality patient care in the covid designated hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha has been visiting these hospitals in order to get the feedback from the attendants and patients apart from the suggestions from the senior doctors who are working in these hospitals.
During one of such visits recently he directed Principal GMC, CMO to institutionalize three-tier of patient care within hospitals by categorizing nurses in three modes, to be implemented across J&K. This three-tier system of patient care has been devised after a lot of feedback and brainstorming sessions of the administration and this system will improve the patient care in all the hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the JK administration in the new system the patients would be first registered and it would be followed by counseling of patients, timely medicines & injections, hourly monitoring of oxygen inflow to patients will ensure best possible care for patients.
Earlier many attendants and patients complained to different visiting officers that it is because of erratic oxygen supply to the patients that they became serious or died on ventilators.
Many attendants even told to the media outlets that the doctors and the paramedical staff have not been monitoring the oxygen supply to the covid positive patients especially those who are in serious condition.
