Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha has recently decided to focus on giving better health care to the people living in villages of Jammu and Kashmir.
Though the immediate response because of the growing covid positive cases in rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir. The government is also keen to strengthen the health infrastructure in these areas.
In order to give a better response to the covid positive patients in the villages, Jammu and Kashmir administration has approved rupees one lac for each panchayat to set up five bedded covid care centres with at least one oxygen supported bed in these new health centres.
The government has also decided to provide funds at the panchayat level and also to the Deputy Commissioners so that they strengthen sub centres, health and wellness centres along with primary health centres in villages of Jammu and Kashmir.
In order to address the complainants from the rural areas, the government has decided to provide ambulance services with oxygen support for safely transporting the patients from far off villages to dedicated covid care centres.
