Corona curfew being implemented strictly in Srinagar city today

Police and security forces right from Wednesday morning started strictly enforcing the curfew in Srinagar city especially in the markets as during the previous day lot of crowds were seen roaming in the markets without adhering to sops.

Police vehicles fitted with loudspeakers were asking people to stay indoors and warning the violators of strict action against them under law.

In the markets of Dalgate, Residency road, Koker Bazar, Maisuma police was strictly enforcing the curfew and not allowing people to go for purchases in the markets.

Most of the vehicles were sent back by the police and even the government employees without proper curfew passes were not allowed to proceed ahead.

Already government has extended the curfew and restrictions up to May 17 as there is a steep rise in the covid positive cases in entire Jammu and Kashmir.

The government has decided to act and not allow further spread of the infection as the people on Tuesday were seeing in crowds doing the Eid shopping in the markets and not adhering the sops announcing by the government.
