Recently the JK government has said that they have enough oxygen supply available while appealing the people not to panic or listen to rumours.

The divisional administration also assured the people in Jammu and Kashmir regions that they have enough stocks of medicines, oxygen supplies and other material available even if the numbers go on rising.

In such circumstances the people of Jammu and Kashmir were expecting a honky dory situation where all would be rosy. But the ground reports are very disturbing from covid designated hospitals of both Kashmir and Jammu.

The four unfortunate deaths in one of the private medical hospitals of Jammu is a very alarming pointer to the disasters in making. While the hospital authorities have contested the claim of the people and media that the four people died in their hospital due to the shortage of oxygen, the government has ordered the probe and have decided to investigate the matter as soon as possible.

It was first financial commissioner health who ordered an enquiry into these deaths and the divisional commissioner Jammu who has already constituted a committee to probe the matter and bring facts to the government.

Whatever the truth will finally come out and the greater message in this tragedy is that the government should recheck its claims about the preparations to deal with the growing number of covid-19 cases.
