Let us break the chain, stay indoors, appeal DC Srinagar to people

With rumours making rounds that the lockdown is breaking the cycle of coronavirus would be extended, DC office of seriangar on Thursday was flogged with people seeking curfew passes even before the lockdown has been imposed.
Earlier the district administration of Srinagar has decided to impose curfew from 7pm on Thursday till 7am on Monday. As the people also went for panic buying in the markets of Srinagar, DC Srinagar took to twitter in order to assure people of the city that the essential services will remain operative.
He said in one of his tweets“ Ensuring Essential services is my duty. Leave that to me. Let’s #BreakTheChain #StriveForSafeSrinagar”.
In another tweet DC Srinagar said, “Deluge of calls/messages & deputations at office for Curfew passes even before a #Lockdown comes into force from 7:00 pm today. I appeal everyone again to pl stay indoors.”
Despite these tweets Srinagar city was abuzz with rumours of extended lockdown as the covid positive cases have shown a steep rise and the fatalities have also increased in the past few days.
The government is trying to break the chain and have started this covid curfew on weekend recently.
