Secretary Jal Shakti reviews implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in Pulwama
PULWAMA, APRIL 22: Commissioner Secretary Jal Shakti, M. Raju, today reviewed implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), a centrally sponsored programme aimed at providing tap water to every rural household.
The meeting was attended District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Chowdary, Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti, Superintendent Engineer Hydraulic; Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, AEEs and other concerned officers.
The meeting had threadbare discussion on several aspects of implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission including status of tendering and administrative approval of retrofitting schemes, coverage action plan for providing water facility to remaining HHCS in the district and several other issues of public importance.
Executive Engineer apprised of the progress achieved so far in the district under the mission. He also briefed about the status of administrative approval of different schemes.
Secretary exhorted upon the officers to work in tandem to achieve desired results within the stipulated time frame.
