Omar Abdullah was first to break the news about the infection of covid-19 to his father though he has taken the first dose of the vaccine at SKIMS recently.

Farooq Abdullah has been very active despite pandemic and has been not only meeting his party colleagues but also many public delegations in both regions of Jammu and Kashmir.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted for the recovery of Farooq Abdullah from the covid-19 virus. PM Modi in his tweet said, “Praying for the good health and speedy recovery of Dr. Farooq Abdullah Ji. Also praying for your and the entire family’s good health”.

The tweet of the Prime Minister came after Omar Abdullah first tweeted about the covid infection to his father. Omar Abdullah in his tweet on Tuesday morning said, “My father has tested positive for COVID-19 & is showing some symptoms. I will be self-isolating along with other family members until we get ourselves tested. I request anyone who has come into contact with us over the last few days to take all the mandated precautions.”

It is in place to mention that there has been a spike in the covid-19 cases in Srinagar city and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir in the past few days.

The second wave of the covid-19 is hitting hard all the people who are getting infected and many of them have been hospitalized with severe infection.

Taking into consideration the growing second wave, many Deputy Commissioners following the footsteps of district heads of Srinagar city have made it mandatory for people to come out with masks and adhere to other Sop’s.
