M Raju inspects ongoing desilting works of Tawi Canal, adjoining areas
Directs for early completion of desilting works of canal, its distributaries
JAMMU, MARCH 18: Commissioner Secretary Jal Shakti Department, M Raju today visited Main Tawi Canal at Railway Station, Trikuta Nagar and Bahu areas here to assess the ground situation of the desilting process of the canal.
The Commissioner Secretary was accompanied by Chief Engineer Jal Shakti Ravi-Tawi Irrigation Jammu, Superintending Engineer Ravi-Tawi Const. Circle Jammu and Executive Engineer TCC Division Jammu
The Commissioner Secretary inspected the ongoing works at Bahu area and directed the concerned officials to immediately deploy machinery for speedy work from Railway Station to Greater Kailash.
He further directed the officers for early completion of cleaning and desilting works of Tawi Canal and all its distributaries so that the farmers at tail end could be benefitted on time.
