Campaign in cities
The J&K Tourism Department along with the stakeholders of the industry decided to go for an aggressive marketing campaign to get tourists back to Jammu and Kashmir.
There is no denying the fact that Jammu and Kashmir along with Ladakh has seen very poor tourism post August 5, 2019, developments. Now the people of Jammu and Kashmir are looking for the current season to pick up so that they can come out from their cycles of debt and depression.
Government recently said that the J & K tourism department in collaboration with the Association of Kashmir Tour Operators held a lot of road shows at many cities as part of its promotional campaigns across the country to attract tourists.
Leading tourism operators, travel agents, destination management companies besides regional and national media were invited at the promotional campaigns and they networked with the J&K’s travel agents for business opportunities and promotion of the varied tourism products, the government of Jammu and Kashmir claimed.
Now we are already in the spring season with the biggest attraction being Asia’s biggest Tulip Garden on the banks of Dal Lake. This Tulip Garden is the main attraction for spring tourists to visit Kashmir and the people connected with this trade are looking desperately for a healthy season.
