Grenade lobbed on police post in Sopore, two cops injured

Unidentified militants lobbed a grenade at a police post near Bus Stand on Saturday in which two cops were injured, police said. Police have been quoted by the local news agencies saying that two SPO’s who were posted at the place got the injuries from the splinters of the grenade.
Police said that both the SPOs were taken to the hospital for the treatment and they were out of danger. Reports from the areas said that soon after the incident police had started a combing operation and have intensified the searches in the vicinity of the incident till this report was being filed.
It is in place to mention that police and security forces recently in the Tujjar area of Sopore were able to kill the Chief Commander of Al-Badr in a gunfight.
