The Union Government has taken slew of measures to give a huge push to the tourism sector in union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Even for the union territory of Ladakh the government is very keen that they should also get back the tourism as due to the standoff and the post abrogation of article 370 Leh has seen no tourism for the first time.

These efforts are visible as the central government has decided to speed up the work on the Zojila tunnel so that Ladakh remains connected throughout the year via Srinagar-Leh highway and the work is already allotted.

Apart from this work, despite the fact that Kashmir and Zojila pass witnessed heavy snowfall in the current winter, due to the efforts of BRO Srinagar-Leh highway has been reopened in a record short time in order to allow not only the vehicular traffic but also tourists who are keen to see Ladakh in the months of spring.

Spring in Ladakh is a season to witness and it can be a reality for all those lovers of nature who want to visit Ladakh in this season. BRO opened Leh highway only after 58 days of winter closure and this is for the first time that people can travel to Leh through this road in the month of March.

It will certainly revive the hopes of tourism players in Ladakh region especially in Leh as many people have their survival connected with tourist trade.
