The tourists who are presently in Kashmir valley would go with the impression of how the local people and the government treat them when they are here.
They will take that impression to their respective places and will be the goodwill ambassadors for Kashmir tourism to pick up as the tourism related industry has suffered a series of reverses in the past few years with almost nil tourism.
Recently Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha paid a visit to Dal Lake, where he met several tourists who came from different parts of the country to visit Kashmir for holidays.
During his interaction with the tourists, the Lieutenant Governor enquired about the experiences of their visit to Jammu and Kashmir and expressed hope that they will encourage their relatives and friends to visit Kashmir during the current season.
He said that Kashmir is one of the safe tourist destinations and the media should also play a positive role so that they do not magnify any small incident which will be having an impact on the health of tourism in the coming months.
Lt. Governor assured tourists that they will get all the cooperation from the government during their stay and also appealed them to carry their goodwill they have generated while staying with the local people to the rest of the country.
