There is good news for all those who are connected with tourist trade in Jammu and Kashmir that in this month of February, a lot of tourists have already arrived in Kashmir valley while arrivals are swelling in the coming months according to the bookings with the travel agents who are also brimming with confidence.

In Jammu region, pilgrimage tourism is the main source of income and it is also showing signs of revival. The Jammu chamber of commerce and industry has recently appealed to the government to bring out the gateway of Jammu Lakhanpur out of the red zone area from the corona virus radius. They have said that due to such restrictions, very few people who are interested to visit Katra are not getting the encouragement to visit Jammu.

They have also appealed to authorities to lift the restrictions on the interstate bus services from Jammu to other areas as these restrictions have brought the footfall new low in Jammu region.

If the authorities will pay attention to the demands of people connected with tourist trade in Jammu region it would be a great step from the authorities to these people so that they can resume their activities in the tourism sector.

There is no denying of  the fact that the tourism industry was badly hit post August 5, 2019 clampdown and it has really made thousands of families suffer both in Kashmir and Jammu regions.

This time Jammu region has also suffered equally in the tourism sector as there has been no tourism in the past 19 months for them also.
