Protest
It was first Mehbooba Mufti, former Chief Minister and PDP Chief who tweeted about the filing of FIR under different sections against the father of Athar Mushtaq, a teenage boy who was killed in a controversial encounter along with two other youth of South Kashmir recently on the outskirts of Srinagar.
Police told media that they have filed FIR against the father of Athar Mushtaq and six others including Imaam of a local masjid for holding a protest illegally trying to breach the peace.
They were demanding the bodies back of the three slain youth so that they can be buried in their native villages and were also demanding an investigation into the entire encounter as they claim it was fake.
Recently Former chief minister and National Conference president Dr, Farooq Abdullah held a demonstration seeking the return of the bodies of three youths killed in the Hokarsar ‘encounter’ on December 30, and an investigation into the alleged encounter.
This comes days after the Jammu and Kashmir police booked family members of a teenage boy killed in the encounter under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, for holding a demonstration in his village “demanding the return of his body.”
Recently Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha in a press conference said that Kashmir being a sensitive place, he will come with all the details of Hokarsar encounter on accurate time.
