Shutdown in Lal Chowk on Thursday morning

Srinagar: A new trend has emerged that shutdowns are being observed in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir without any call from any separatist organization.
It started on Tuesday, February 09 when Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir observed shutdown, in some parts partially on the hanging anniversary of Muhammad Afzal Guroo.
On Thursday, February 11, security was beefed up in Lal Chowk and other areas as the shopkeepers have not arrived and other business established are also closed.
The shutdown was being observed in other areas of Lal Chowk and civil lines areas on Thursday morning and today also there was no call from any separatist organization for this Hartal.
These are some of the pictures I captured during my morning visit to Lal Chowk and other areas on Thursday.
