Hanging icicles from the rooftops, remind us of past winters

Srinagar: This has been one of the harsh winters in Kashmir valley and on Thursday right from the morning, it has been chill and biting cold, greeting everyone who came out from his home.
Heavy spells of snow followed by clear skies, have resulted in lot of chill and also the freezing of water bodies including Dal Lake. This harsh winter and chill has resulted in sub-zero temperatures during the nights resulting in making of icicles ever where including on the rooftops.
We have been listening to our parents about the huge icicles hanging from the rooftops but on Thursday I saw even in afternoon, the clothes along with icicles hanging in a very typical winter style. The winters of past are back and also their memories as we are witnessing a very harsh chillai kallan which is going to end on Saturday.
