Closure of Kulgam-Aharbal road trigger protest

The main road from Kulgam to Aharbal is close due to the accumulation of snow and for the last so many days’ people are demanding road clearance.
Due to the closure of this road dozens of villages are suffering especially patient who are being taken on shoulders in nearby health facility.
People of Tangmarg of Aharbal and adjacent villages have appealed Deputy Commissioner Kulgam to visit the area and see how villagers are suffering. The lack of response from the government has triggered protests and this belt of Kulgam district has witnessed heavy snowfall damaging power transformer, hitting water supplies and closed road due to snow is only adding to their problem.
