NC vice president and former chief minister Omar Abdullah has played an audio clip claiming that in Shopian a PAGD candidate was forced to join the Apni Party as his brother in law was in detention.
Criticizing LG Sinha and Modi for drum beating about the victory of democracy he said that the same verdict was being mutilated on the ground by coercion, detentions and other methods.
Declaring Altaf Bukhari as a B team of BJP, Omar Abdullah said that this is a dangerous trend to disrespect the verdict of common people who have voted against all the decisions of central government on August 5, 2019.
He also mentioned that 2 national Conference leaders were still under detention and it could be a method to force them to join the Apni Party in order to seek their release.
He said that PAGD candidates who have won are being coerced, humiliated and some of them being forced to join BJP’s B team to secure release of their relatives.
