Death of a teacher not regularized trigger protests

Teachers held protests in Polo Ground Park to get the attention of authorities for their many pending issues including regularization. The protesting teachers said that the yesterday teacher died yesterday without being regularized and the Directorate of Education is not giving any attention to such issues.
Teachers said that there is no proper transfer policy as the husband and wife being teachers in the same department are not posted at one place. They also demanded complete change of syllabus and pattern of teaching on modern lines in Jammu and Kashmir.
