Journalist court fined for not wearing seat belt on bike

Photo journalists Javaid Ahmad Malik was today fined by traffic officials for not wearing a seat belt on a motor bike. The challan is being attached with this news item as a proof how the traffic officials are behaving on the streets of Srinagar with people on bikes and driving vehicles.

Many civilians in the recent past have appealed Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene as the traffic cops were fining the people on the streets and even taking their vehicles away to their main office at Srinagar without much reason.

The latest case of Javaid Ahmad Malik is a proof how reckless is the traffic cops to fine the people on the streets of Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir.

Javaid Malik while talking to this news reporter he was coming on his bike and was stopped by police near B.ed College Srinagar near M. A Road Srinagar.

The police fine him and have taken away his original driving license; though Javaid pleaded with them they have no excuse to fine him.
