After the government filed a review petition in JK high  court seeking not only a distinction between the poor and the rich in the Roshni scheme but it has also requested the court to give them time to make a mechanism to separate landless people and the rich as they both have been benefited by this scheme.

BJP and its leadership has been very vocal against the previous political dispensations in Jammu and Kashmir especially Abdullah’s and Mufti’s accusing them of being corrupt and beneficiaries of Roshni scheme.

The review petition by Jammu and Kashmir administration has shown that it is not only the rich who have benefitted from this scheme but there have been a lot of poor people also who were landless and got the land by this scheme.

To call it as a pure corrupt practice has been negated by the very review petition of the government in the JK high court seeking not only the time but also requesting the court that they will put in a mechanism so that there is a distinction between the poor and the rich in this scheme.

PAGD and other leaders of Jammu and Kashmir have said that the review petition in the JK high court by the administration is the vindication of their stand that they started the scheme with good intentions to benefit the poor and they were having no ill intentions while framing this act.

It would be very interesting to note how the JK high court will respond to the review petition as on the first date, the court has adjourned the matter for the next hearing.
