Unidentified persons damaged property of voters in Pulwama

Reports from Karimabad village of South Kashmir suggest that property of many people was damaged by a bunch of unknown persons as they have voted in the recent DDC elections.

According to the local news agency KDC, on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday a lot of property was damaged including vehicles and other household items of all those people who voted in Karimabad village.

These reports have further said that hay worth a lot of money was set on fire and the houses were damaged partially by the angry youth who came during the dead of night. Police have confirmed to the local news agency that they have revived a formal complaint from the victims and have assured them that the strict action would be taken under law against all those unknown persons who have damaged their properties.

There has been a very low percentage of polling in Pulwama in all the three phases so far and most of the people have boycotted these elections.
