Indo-Pak armies exchange fire along LoC in J&K’s Poonch

Pakistan Army on Thursday resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu & Kashmir’s Poonch district, army said.

A spokesman of Indian army said that this afternoon, Pakistan initiated ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and intense shelling with mortars along LoC in Poonch.

He said that Pakistan fired in the Qasba and Kirni sectors of Poonch at about 1330 hours.

The spokesman said that the Indian Army is retaliating befittingly.

However, no loss of life and property has been reported yet in the shelling.
