PDP President Mehbooba Mufti who is also Vice President of PAGD in Zainapora Shopian on Wednesday lashed out at BJP and said that they have been unnerved by the participation of PAGD in the coming DDC elections and were trying to use all force and arm twisting methods to win these elections.
In a series of tweets she has leveled serious charges against the central government and BJP leadership and said that they were trying to coerce people to submission in Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to reporters at Shopian Mehbooba has been quoted as saying that BJP will use grenades and guns” in the coming elections to save their face. She claimed that BJP is unnerved and now they want to do anything to win the coming DDC elections by force.
She told reporters at Zainapora, Shopian in South Kashmir that she had come to meet PAGD candidate who was not allowed by police to come out of his home in the past 15 days to campaign in his favor.
“They (BJP) will use Grenades and guns to bag seats, but people should defeat BJP this time and ensure victory of PAGD candidates,” she said, adding that Centre was of the belief that parties like National Conference, PDP, Peoples Conference and CPI (M) won’t participate in DDC polls so that they can ensure the victory of their candidates through “backdoor channels” she added.
“LG Manoj Sinha and SEC KK Sharma are making false claims that every candidate is allowed to go for campaigning. That’s why today, I came here myself to tell people of Zainapora and Shopian to vote for only PAGD candidates for God’s sake so that BJP is kept away,” Mehbooba told reporters.
