Localities in Nawa Kadal without power supply from several days

Despite repeated reminders to the PDD officials for the repair and restoration of transformer in Rahi Lone, Khanda Bhawan and other adjacent localities, hundreds of families living their without power supply in these severe winter days of November.
People of the area said that if the transformer is not installed today, they will go for the protests and block the roads and the authorities are forcing them to come on streets.
The residents told this reporter that they have been without power supply for the past four days now and they cannot wait endlessly for the PDD officials to restore the power supply.
Some residents alleged that the ground staff of PDD was demanding money from them to get the new transformer. They have appealed Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar and Chief Engineer PDD to look into the matter and not force them to protest on the streets even for a small matter like restoration of power supply.
