Omar in Kargil
Omar Abdullah was heading the delegation of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration to Kargil in order to get a ground report about the aspirations of this region for the future course of resistance to be launched by Kashmir leadership.
People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration has decided to interact with people both in Ladakh, Kargil and Jammu region before they decide on any future course of action in order to provide a political struggle to get back what has been snatched by the Union Government on August 5, 2019.
A delegation from the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration recently visited Kargil to interact with people of Ladakh, which was carved out as a separate Union Territory from the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir last year.
The Kargil Democratic Alliance, an amalgam of religious and political parties in Kargil, has put its weight behind the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration, a joint front of mainstream parties in Jammu and Kashmir formed to seek restoration of the erstwhile state’s special position before August 5, 2019.
The five-member delegation led by former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah held a meeting with leaders of Kargil Democratic Alliance on the agenda of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration.
After the meetings with political leaders and people, Omar said that he was very happy with the response given by the common people along with the leadership in Dress and Kargil.
