Reacting to the recent amendments to the land ownership laws of J&K, former Chief Minister and National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah said that it was unacceptable for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Omar said that poor land owners having small pieces of land will suffer a lot by this amendment. He said that New Delhi is trying to sell Kashmir and it would be resisted by people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Omar in his tweet said, “Unacceptable amendments to the land ownership laws of J&K. Even the tokenism of domicile has been done away with when purchasing non-agricultural land & transfer of agricultural land has been made easier. J&K is now up for sale & the poorer small land holding owners will suffer”.
