Mehbooba speaks
Mehbooba Mufti after walking to freedom from the sub-jail of her house has shown that she would not be in a mode to waste any time and start the struggle for the restoration of article 370.
She has made it clear that she is ready to go back to jail and also to face the consequences including the sacrifices to be given by the leaders. She was very candid when she told a reporter that she is ready to go to jail and if anyone is thinking that we will not fight back is living in fool’s paradise.
Mehbooba Mufti soon after her release has converted the Gupkar declaration into a formal political alliance with Congress in double mind especially after her utterances about the tricolor and her demand for the resolution of Kashmir dispute.
Congress spokesman from Jammu said that the remarks made by Mehbooba Mufti in her first press conference were highly provocative and intolerable.
When the Gupkar declaration converted into a people’s alliance, the Congress Chief of Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Ahmad Mir did not participate and cited his health as the reason of absence.
Congress is walking on a tight rope on Kashmir especially on article 370 has already BJP has attacked them on this issue in the Bihar poll campaign. Whatever would be the future of political alliance in Kashmir valley but it is not the same in all the three regions of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir as the people have their own fears and vulnerabilities due to the abrogation of article 370.
